Getting Around

Make Your Way Around Uptown

Every day, a diverse community of approximately 200,000 residents, employees and visitors live, work, shop and play within Uptown Houston. This growing community is provided with comprehensive local and regional mobility options including quality pedestrian and cycling opportunities integrated with quality transit and driving experiences.

Walking / Biking – Connectivity

A Very Pedestrian Friendly City

More than 25 miles of graciously widened sidewalks within Uptown are shaded by street trees and illuminated by pedestrian lighting. Post Oak Boulevard features more than 1,000 Cathedral Live Oak trees and sidewalks are paved with custom designed pavers. Pedestrians are rewarded with a refreshing walk along shaded oak alleys during the day or an evening stroll along inviting illuminated pathways.

Urban trail connectivity with Post Oak Boulevard reaching out to Memorial Park and distant destinations for walkers, runners, and cyclists.
